About this application
Erestor rclone is a private, personal Google OAuth application operated and used solely by its owner. It authorises rclone to copy files from the owner's Google Drive to Erestor, the owner's privately owned Synology NAS. It is not a public service and does not accept other users.
Data accessed and purpose
The application uses read-only Google Drive access to read file contents and the metadata needed to find, organise and copy them, such as names, folder structure, file sizes and modification times. This access does not permit uploading, changing or deleting files in Google Drive.
Google Drive data is used only to make private archival copies on the NAS. It is not otherwise processed for unrelated purposes.
Storage and security
Archival copies are stored on the privately owned NAS. OAuth credentials and access and refresh tokens are stored only on systems controlled by the app owner. They are not published on this website or included in its hosting files. The public website does not receive Google Drive files or OAuth tokens.
No sale, sharing or advertising
The application does not sell or share Google user data with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Access and use are limited to the owner's personal archival purpose.
Erestor rclone's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Copies are retained for the owner's personal archival needs until the owner deletes them. There is no automatic expiry period. The owner can delete archived files directly from the NAS and remove stored credentials and tokens from their systems.
Deleting a source file in Google Drive or revoking access does not itself delete an existing archival copy. Copies must be deleted separately from the NAS and, where applicable, any owner-controlled backups or snapshots.
Revoking access
The owner can revoke the application's access at any time in their Google Account connections by removing Erestor rclone's access. This stops future authorised access to Google Drive but does not remove copies already archived.
This website
This static website has no sign-in, forms, analytics scripts, cookies, tracking scripts, external fonts or embedded third-party resources. Firebase Hosting serves these public pages. It processes visitors' IP addresses for abuse prevention and service usage analysis and retains that IP data for a few months, as described in Firebase's privacy information. This hosting activity is separate from the application's private Google Drive archive.
